“The training was a perfect mix of practical and theory. Each week I felt like I improved my overall coaching skills by practising with my peers but also applying the theory that we learnt each week. From a development perspective, coaching skills have allowed me to accelerate the growth of the individuals in my team, because of the focus on them having the solutions to their own challenges vs me telling them the answers. As my team size has increased this has also made my work more scalable as my team are finding the solutions to their own problems instead of relying on me to provide fixes. Not only did I benefit from the skills that I learnt but coaching has also given me new direction in my life & career.“

What You Can Expect
Our coach training philosophy is that Coaching is more caught than taught! What we mean by this is that the best way to learn how to coach is to observe coaching and to receive feedback on your coaching. Our training is filled with ample opportunities to catch coaching.
Our training is more of an apprenticeship than an academic study of coaching. While you will learn the core coaching competencies, the code of professional ethics and standards, and the guiding principles of coaching, our primary focus is on the practical application and demonstration of this content. For this reason, our instructors demonstrate everything that we teach. Our classes are filled with robust discussion regarding application instead of copious notetaking of concepts.
Many prospective participants wonder about pursuing a coaching credential while also working a full-time job. Our training is ideally suited for those working full-time. 50% of our training is self-paced and can be completed at the convenience of the participant. The remaining 50% of our training occurs in convenient zoom classes. These can be accessed at work, home, or on-the-road.
Why Is a Coaching Credential Important?
A frequent question that we are asked is Do I really need a coaching credential? My response to this question is two-fold:
- A coaching credential communicates that you have received training and have had your coaching reviewed.
- An ICF (International Coaching Federation) credential conveys that your coaching has met a gold standard adhered to by coaches around the world.
Another way to answer this question is this: Would you ever consider going to a dentist or a heart surgeon that hadn’t been properly trained and had their professional work reviewed? I’m certain that you answer would be NO. Then why would a potential client ever consider working with a coach who had never been trained or had their coaching reviewed.

“My coaching skills have shifted a great deal for the better. Prior to this course, my leadership style spent a lot of time coddling our junior employees and being a solution-oriented leader because I assumed that was my value as a manager. I am proudly now a more empathetic, patient and present leader. I find that in my professional coaching as well as my personal life- I am more in tune with listening to others and asking open-ended coaching questions. This has allowed the individuals to uncover more about themselves and feels great to be able to evoke their self-discoveries as a manager. These skills have also created environments where the coachee feels heard and trust is built. As many of my employees are regularly concerned with getting to their next role and career advancement, these skills have created an environment where I do not feel as burnt out from these repeititive conversations but instead can empower individuals to take ownership for themselves. Overall, I am a more effective sales leader because I am able to show the most effective form of personal support to these individuals in difficult quota-carrying roles.“
