Coaching4AgileLeaders is a coach training program which provides 60 hours of coach specific training, preparing participants to apply for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coach Federation.
Agile is a set of values and their supporting principles that guide organizations in the way they develop products and deliver valuable software solutions to customers. Agile coaching at the team, organizational, and enterprise level requires the use of professional coaching skills to be highly effective but these skills are not routinely taught in basic Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner classes.
The most common gap area for people applying for the Scrum Alliance Certified Team Coach (CTC) and the Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) designations is in the coaching mindset and proficient understanding and use of professional coaching skills.
Our goal is to provide the training and mentoring needed to learn and become effective in the use of professional coaching skills as you apply them to your role as a Scrum Master, Multi-Team Agile Coach, or Enterprise Agile Coach. Our focus in these classes will be to learn the skills and mindset that satisfy the International Coach Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC) requirements. We will also focus on the perspective of people in Agile careers and coaching in an agile environment with groups, teams, and individuals. The skills and mindset, when learned and effectively applied, will also meet the requirements for the CTC and CEC designations with Scrum Alliance.
The primary instructor for these courses is Cherie Silas who is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and an ICF Mentor Coach. Cherie is also a Scrum Alliance CEC and CTC application reviewer and a CTC Mentor Coach. The secondary instructor is Val Hastings who is an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) and an ICF Mentor Coach.
The training is divided into three sections and is formatted in weekly 2 hour live group video calls over a 10 week period. Interactive learning and supervised practice and feedback are part of each call.
